Wheaton College is a world-renowned liberal arts college and graduate school located in the suburbs of Chicago in Wheaton, Illinois. Established in 1860, its faculty and alumni are distinguished in every field of study. With a multi-generational readership, Wheaton needed a publication that would appeal to all. Metaleap tackled this redesign project with one eye toward the alumni who have “arrived,” so to speak, and the other on the magazine’s younger audience. Using polished page interiors on which every detail was considered, juxtaposed with an exposed, architectural grid infrastructure, we managed to deliver a publication that sits comfortably on the coffee table of all its readers, no matter their stage of life.
At Metaleap Creative, we take pride in our diverse portfolio of projects that span across various industries and design disciplines. From digital campaigns to branding initiatives, publishing projects, and packaging designs, we collaborate closely with our clients to bring their visions to life. That was especially true in our work with Wheaton, a leading faith-based brand and educational institution with a rich 160-year past and a compelling vision of the future. Our strategic brand development process ensures we first get really clear on the identity of the client and those they serve, before planning how to build a brand that endures. With Wheaton, magazine design was the primary focus, but we first laid the right foundation around brand identity and vision. Through the years, we’ve developed a deep expertise in educational institution branding and educational publication design, including in our work with Stony Brook, Georgia State University, and Columbia Theological Seminary.
